Saltwood Cabinetry Process

Our Process

Saltwood Cabinetry Process step 1 initial meeting

1. Our first meeting

Get in touch and we’ll find out a little more about your project. If after our initial conversation, you’d like to continue we would schedule a time to visit and view your property and understand more about the project you have in mind. We would take initial measurements and gain a better appreciation of your requirements. This would also be an opportunity for you to ask us further questions.

Saltwood Cabinetry Process step 2 Estimation and line drawings

2. Estimation & line drawings

We provide you with an initial layout option and a more in-depth cost estimation. If you choose to commission us to create your cabinetry, you will then work with one of our designers to start planning your project. If you have special budget considerations, we are happy to work with you to find a suitable solution where we can.

Saltwood Cabinetry Process step 3 design and precision planning

3. Design & precision planning

We ask you to choose and order your appliances (preferably through our trusted supplier). When we have this information our design team will create a plan for your space, taking into consideration any design direction and functional requirements you have given us. Once your plan has been revised to your satisfaction, we get to do the fun part! We will work with you to choose the finishes (materials and colors) and fixtures (hardware, lighting etc.) that will make your project truly unique.

Saltwood Cabinetry Process step 4 build in our workshop

4. Into our workshop

Following any final tweaks to the design, your cabinetry will start to take shape in our workshop. Here, every detail will be given careful consideration by our craftsmen as each cupboard and drawer is built and finished. Our team is dedicated to ensuring each kitchen is built to last, looks fantastic, and works perfectly.

Saltwood Cabinetry Process step 5 handover and installation

5. Installation & handover

When your project is ready for installation, the cabinetry will be handed over with care to our expert fitting team. Our in-house installers use the care and attention your handmade cabinetry deserves. We won’t use any parts to fill gaps; everything we make is beautifully scribed to your walls and floors. We use our trusted electricians and plumbers during this process who work to our continued high standards, before handing over your finished project for you to enjoy for years to come!

Rest assured that when we have completed a job, we will always be available and happy to return for maintenance ‘tune-ups’ or adjustments should they be needed. We offer a free 6 month check-up after completion of your project.
